Synopsis

Warning: This collection of poetry is not for everyone. If you want to caress and stir deeper aspects of your psyche with poetry that is born at the place where the mind borders on the numinous and transcendental--you can find it here. The simultaneously abstract and lyrical medium of the poetry is an integral part of the unique creative fission that spawned it.

À propos de l'auteur

Sebastian Lopez lives in Washington, DC. He has lived in five different countries and speaks Spanish and Russian fluently. He is a freelance poet, a spoken word artist, emcee, musician, and philosopher. He studied letters at Cornell. Sebastian loves poets such as Rimbaud, Lorca, Jim Morrison, Mayakovsky, Leonard Cohen and Elizabeth Bishop. Sebastian tends towards having uncommon values. For example, he is proud to have spent years of his life in idleness, and to know people from a wide demographic spectrum. He has a strong affinity with the American spiritual vision of Walt Whitman. He also loves to comment and write on social issues and themes such as sexuality and mind expansion. Among some of the influences that make up Sebastian's personal world are: nihilism, religion, abstract expressionism and the ambient music of Aphex Twin. He considers his written poetry to be the summit of his creative powers. It is his attempt to capture everything that is ineffable and transcendental.
