Synopsis

An innocent man is killed in a violent accident and three of the witnesses have been changed irrevocably. Sarah, a young woman who grew up in poverty and ignorance, examines her life, sees it more clearly and critically than ever before, and makes some major decisions that will put her on an unfamiliar path. These three, former strangers, find their lives intertwining and connecting. At the center of their new relationships is Lonnie, the widow of the innocent man, who privately questions her ability to cope with the new reality of her life while inspiring the others with her inner spiritual strength.

Susan Messegee, a mother of six and grandmother of thirteen, currently resides on a forty-acre farm in rural Missouri. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Brigham Young University and has been teaching and serving others with her insight and parables for decades. This is her first novel.
