June Beck, a household yogi, teaches Yoga for Geezers. “A geezer is someone who has pains for no apparent reason,” she says. “Age is not important.” For her living, she’s scooped poop, manned electronic equipment, written for a newspaper, delivered pizzas, nannied, parented, cleaned house for pay and for no pay, been a teller at a savings and loan, a barista at a coffee house, and counted golf balls. She’s had more lives than a cat. Currently manager at m.BODY Yoga & Massage in San Luis Obispo, she studies Gravity & Grace with Peter Sterios, whose teacher was Shandor Remete. She teaches Academic Writing, Critical Thinking, Group Dynamics, Creative Writing, and Literature at the college level.
