Synopsis

Pope Benedict XVI called for the teachings of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) to be considered afresh during the Year of Faith to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the council (11 October, 1962). This book is an attempt to do just that. With this volume you have a directed re-reading of the three (3) major constitutions (On the Church, On Divine Revelation, On the Sacred Liturgy) in a question and answer format. The bulk of the text is made up of 1,653 questions and answers drawn from the conciliar texts. ABOUT THIS BOOK: Dogmatic Questions and Answers "is well done, simple yet complete." (His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, Sri Lanka). Dogmatic Questions and Answers is "very helpful ... in a step by step review of dogma within the Church." (Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, Archbishop of Louisville, Kentucky) Dogmatic Questions and Answers is a "useful book for the Year of Faith." (Most Reverend Joseph Augustine DiNoia, O.P., Vice President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei). Dogmatic Questions and Answers for the Year of Faith is "a great help in preparing for the upcoming Year of Faith" (Most Reverend James Vann Johnston, Jr., Bishop of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, MO). I will use Dogmatic Questions and Answers For the Year of Faith "for a reference" (Most Reverend Richard F. Stika, Bishop of Knoxville, TN). Dogmatic Questions and Answers for the Year of Faith is "serious" yet "fabulous... fun and quirky." It lends itself to immediate reading (Dr. Caroline Farey, Director of Catechetical Formation and of the Catechetics Licence programe, Maryvale Institute, Birmingham, UK).
