All of us stand child-like between the eternal forces of right and wrong, naked to the onrush of the future. The Electric, portrays that timeless struggle. It is a novel set in 1946, on a northeast Oklahoma farm. Joe, a precocious seven year old, his grandparents, and three of their daughters, Joe’s aunts, face the daily hardship of farming without electricity. They inevitably collide with unseen unscrupulous antagonists driven by greed to take advantage of the coming of electric power. It is a struggle between good and evil, a struggle to the death.

Rex Fuller was born in Kansas City to a farmer’s daughter and a seaman’s son, eldest of five in the Baby Boom’s first wave. He was raised in small towns of the heartland, within a day’s drive west of the Mississippi, attended Catholic schools, and married his high school sweetheart (and still is). He holds degrees from Nebraska University (BA & JD) and George Washington University (LLM). He was assigned to duty stations throughout the United States and Europe, but mostly in “the Building.” Now, he is a self-employed lawyer in the Washington, D.C., area. He is undeservedly blessed with wife, son and daughter, all unimaginably beautiful.
