Synopsis

Providing an analysis of the US economy, its current situation and downward trend, and surprisingly, offering solutions. The United States is based on free enterprise and a capitalist system, and its strength has always been that with hard work, anyone with aspiration can achieve. Well, right now, due to both financial and social pressures, our economy is in a state of distress. Because this condition is the accumulation of myriad imposed conditions and trends, there is no one single thing that can pluck victory from the jaws of defeat. As a result, the basic tenets of our culture are challenged as we are being marginalized. But looking at the issues it can be seen that a synergistic approach will bring together the right actions to restore direction and resolve. Our economy is bottomed out, and our country's spokespersons, the two major political parties, are so ideologically imbedded within their platforms, that we have reached a stagnated-standoff. By looking at job availability, outsourcing, immigration policy, fiscal responsibility, entitlements, government charter and services, and education, and properly defining each element as to how it affects both the economy and its direction, a clear and workable solution can be crafted and implemented.

À propos de l'auteur

Joe Goldstein was born in 1938 in New York City, and pursued an aerospace engineering career after receiving three degrees, working first in Connecticut and then California. His specialties were analysis, system engineering, and project management. This work direction was instrumental in developing the approaches to thinking necessary to identify and resolve problems, both technical and overall project-related. However, two additional aspects rounded out a triad of point-of-view, enhancing problem resolution with both a sociological perspective through an extensive series of private lectures, and a non-secular perspective through both the concepts of Buddhism and the lectures of J. Krishnamurti. This diverse background instilled an extreme sensitivity to the sanctity of personal property, the idea that each and every individual must have the freedom to pursue any life goal so long as it was not at the expense of another person. How well that dove-tailed with the concepts of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, that assure each citizen the rights to life, liberty, and the freedom to pursue happiness! Having enjoyed these conditions and appreciated that the United States was the incubator allowing this blossoming of freedom, seeing so strong a shift in the direction of the country naturally geared his attention towards identifying and solving the causative issues. At this time, Joe is retired- enjoying golf, “RV’ing”, writing, and focusing on developing resolutions to the conditions which have allowed the country to steer off-track.
