Synopsis

"We need someone to work with the children of our church and start a children's choir." It's so quiet you could hear a pin drop! "How about you?" Who me? Teach music? To those children? I don't think so! Working with children can strike fear in some adults for many reasons! Others may feel it is beneath them and not worthy of their musical gifting! Some do not see the importance of a children's choir and might ask, "What's the big deal about children's music ministry?" In this book "Working With Children and Keeping Your Sanity!" Cynthia Gowens points out that an effective children's music ministry will accomplish several goals that can benefit the church body. Cynthia Gowens is a retired elementary school teacher that has been composing music for children's ministries and elementary classrooms for many years. She has traveled across the country as a clinician for children's music workshops and a trainer for those who work in children's music ministry. Cynthia is also the founder of the Children's Music Ministry Workers Conference which is a unique training conference developed exclusively for those who work in children's music ministry. She has finally put all of her years of experience into this easy to read guidebook. Her desire is that this book will help train workers and enable them to enhance their music ministry with their children. It is often said that the children are the church of tomorrow however they will not be prepared to lead on tomorrow if we do not train them today. This is why it is imperative that we beg
