The author, Steven P. Blumer, has been a parish pastor and home missionary since graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon WI, in 1979. He was born in Fond du Lac WI and called to serve in El Paso TX, Beaver Dam WI and since 1998, in Orlando FL. He has been blessed with a wonderful wife, Bonnie, who is also a Lutheran preschool teacher, three married children who are all in the ministry, and eight grandchildren.
