Janet Hellner-Burris is the Senior Pastor of The Christian Church of Wilkinsburg, a small inter-racial congregation in the heart of an economically distressed urban neighborhood. As a Disciples of Christ minister for over 30 years, she has worked to bring healing to individuals, congregations and communities through workshops and retreat leading in forgiveness, peacemaking, racial reconciliation and contemplative prayer. Currently she is leading an ecumenical grass roots movement to end youth violence in her community. She is a wife and mother of two young adult children.
