Synopsis

As an artist and illustrator, I love recording my life through drawing. As time goes by, parts of our lives become our memories. Each event that happens to us is unique and can?t be repeated, so we can only store it in our minds. This illustration book is about my memories of my hometown Taiwan.

I am an illustrator grew up in Taiwan. I got my BFA degree of drawing and painting at Taiwan University of Arts in 2011 spring, and in 2011 Fall I was accepted to the MFA program of illustration at Cal State University, Long Beach, so I moved to California myself to study here. This is my first time to live in a totally different country, it's fun and challenge for me, and I enjoy the life here. I love to try everything new, I love adventure, I love traveling, I love making new friends, though at the same time I miss Taiwan very much. Partly because of the nostalgia, partly because I always draw the things around me, I made the illustration book "My memory map". It's a personal story, but I want to share my story to you guys and you can get to know me more from this book.
