As a native Texan, Dede Weldon Casad has always been fascinated by stories about Texas and Texans. Over the years, she has researched and written several books about Texas history and famous Texans. She has also written several self-help titles, a novel, and a children's series, Henry the Hard Drive and His Friends. Casad hold two degrees from Texas Women’s University and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas. She makes her home in Dallas, where she has participated in a wide range of business and civic activities and served on several corporate boards. She has three children and six grandsons.
