Synopsis
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the accused, Alvin Morlock, is charged with the ultimate crime, the crime of murder. An innocent man stands accused of murdering his wife. Alvin Morlock is a simple man teaching at a small college. He is unexceptional. He lives a lonely, studious life. But he meets Louise Palaggi, a tramp, and in a moment of supreme nonsense marries her. From that moment he is doomed.

Harold Daniels wrote five crime thrillers in the 1950s-60s. In His Blood, Daniels' first novel, was nominated for an Edgar Award in 1955.
