J. Lennington is a retired factory worker of thirty-eight years. Growing up in the Negley, Rogers, Ohio area she would listen to the many stories told by her parents and grandparents. She continued the story telling with her own children and grand-children. Now she hopes to share them with everyone. Daffodils is a sequel to J. Lenningtons third novel, Snow. It is a story of a thoroughbred horse breeder in Kentucky and his dysfunctional family. Daffodils is the fifth novel Lennington has published.

Carly Brooker is a breeder of thoroughbred horses. The last winter was harsh. He lost his mother and youngest brother. However, it did bring his beloved Julia and her two sons to live with them. Carly and Julia married and now she is part of his dysfunctional family. Carly's father, Murphy Brooker, has always favored Carlys siblings over Carly. Every effort to please Murphy has ended in failure. Carly is hoping this spring will be better; after all, it is his favorite time of year.
