Paul Rutley was born and educated in Perth, Western Australia. Following secondary school education, he completed his apprenticeship as a motor mechanic and worked in the mechanical industry for the next two decades. Several changes in jobs meant that Paul worked on all major aspects and most makes and models of cars. Since a young boy, Paul has been obsessed with cars and trucks. Paul now writes his books whilst on the road as a truck driver, operating large, long haul trucks. Paul is a proud family man with two daughters and lives in Perth. His youngest daughter is his most keen student and willing helper.
