Judith R. Gordon is a retired REO (real estate owned) analyst for a major US bank and was recently widowed, which prompted her to write this book in memory of her husband. She has been writing all her life and was first published in the local newspaper in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of fourteen. Writing was more of a hobby that she pursued over the years. Her first love was fashion design, and when she missed a scholarship to Parsons School of Design in New York City, she did the next best thing and became a fashion buyer. She spent a good deal of her working life in retail, until the economy turned sour and she had to turn to a new field. She obtained her real estate license in Florida and was involved in that field, from sales to closings to REO analyst, for thirty years
