The public life of Cassandra Martin began with her determination to have women vote when she discovered the Oklahoma numbers at the voting polls were low. She spearheaded "The New Political Gender" during the General Election of 2004, to educate and register rural women to vote. Press coverage of this event was substantial in Cherokee County, OK. Once she was in the game she expanded to facilitate and moderate public issues events, called "Talk of the Town", and informed local officials of the point of views shared by attendees. Rev. Martin has been a community activist for most of her adult life. "If we do not share our opinions, we are never able to make improvements to anything. Think of the opportunities we miss as individuals and as the collective community." Cassandra has been writing since grade school, and over the years she tried fiction, short stories, teleplays, feature films, and she secured a media agent at People First Agency in Los Angeles, CA. It was in 2010 that Martin was ordained as an independent New Thought Minister and she has continued to offer an online ministry to those who do not currently have a meta- church family.
