He’s the rock that others have built their lives on. She’s the human who might burn it all down.
For a thousand years, earth vampire Carwyn ap Bryn has sacrificed for the good of others: his family, his church, and his friends. He is a protector, a mentor, and a friend. But though his family has thrived, Carwyn remains alone in eternity.
Brigid Connor is a tough-as-nails human working for a vampire security company. She’s known about the immortal world since vampires rescued her from a harrowing childhood, but not even their power or the love of her adopted family can save her from the demons that torment her.
When shared tragedy rips Carwyn and Brigid’s words apart, it forces them to question who they are, what they mean to each other, and how their lives connect.
Are they stronger together? Or will the whisper of their love bring the delicate power balance of the Elemental World crashing down?
Building From Ashes is the first book in the Elemental World series by eleven-time USA Today bestselling author, Elizabeth Hunter.
