Rana K. Williamson, PhD is a sixth-generation Texan who grew up in the small Hill Country ranching community of Junction. A former university history instructor, Williamson, 50, is a freelance writer and researcher completely at the beck and call of two well-fed, over-indulged felines. Her interests include photography, cycling, music, and all things “tech.” A vegetarian in a land of carnivores, Williamson never turns down a chance to two-step to Western Swing or watch a good horse race.
