Synopsis
A college quarterback narrates his memoir and contradicts the public perception of a high profile athlete. Everyone thought he had it all; wealthy family, talent, sportswriters hailed his ability and potential. But no one knew how he achieved such success … or why he hated the sport that made him. Right before an upcoming Bowl game the burden to produce overwhelms him. His understanding mentor provides a hiding place for him and he flees his college, his family, even his home state. He gladly leaves the adoring fans of college football for solitude and anonymity to seek direction in his life. He meets an idealistic artist who convinces him how to deal with the memories that haunt him. He will only share bits of his past with her until she uncovers her love’s real identity. Within his journey of self discovery he also finds his life calling. He must make a second desperate escape to avoid who he is really running from. A family crisis demands he return home to resolve the final conflict in his life.
