A Student's Guide to the Second Punic Wars at Advance Level is a text intended to describe the events of the Second War between Rome and Carthage. The text provides an unbiased and student-friendly style to cover the rise of Hannibal and his attacks on Rome and the eventual defeat of Carthage. Drawing from sources such as Livy and Polybius, this guide goes into details on the political and tactical methods that enabled the threat of Hannibal to reach the gates of Rome, then the eventual defeat of Hannibal and Carthage by the Scipio family. This guide is designed for students studying the Punic Wars at an Advance Level and includes a brief introduction describing the First Punic Wars and maps of the areas affected. It charts the various relationships with other nations involved during the war and the many influences that became the catalyst to Carthage's second defeat.

Currently I teach History to High School Students in Suffolk. I also lecture on various historical subjects to adults in Ipswich, Suffolk. I was brought up in Richmond and then Whitton, West London, and was lucky enough to have experienced the 'Space Age' as a child and I am still disappointed at not having a house on the moon yet! I failed completely at school, being expelled aged 15 . I emptied dust bins of the rich and famous for four years in the London Borough of Richmond; before realising that to achieve anything in life I needed an education. So I went back to school/College (found to be dyslexic) and finally gained a BA Hons in Ancient and Medieval History at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College and later an MA from King's College London, since then I have never looked back.
