Wingfield McGowan uses her secondary language degree to help young children develop visual perception, reading, and mathematical skills. Her mentors are Faye Knight, Reading Specialist; Kathleen O'Connor, Mental Health; and Pat Lovisek, Preschool teacher. Wingfield, or "Miss Wink", as the children call her, found a love for teaching young children when her daughter was born. After enjoying afterschool teaching for fifteen years, along with individual tutoring, Wingfield discovered a simplified way to engage young children in learning.
