First: Contemplate it for some minutes wondering, “What good could come from this?” Next: Once you have one idea of the silver lining behind the cloud, write it down, and see if you can come up with two more possibilities. Finally: When you have the three possibilities, meditate on them for a while, visioning the potential positive outcomes. This process starts you down a path of great potentiality. With some practice this positive way of seeing things will become your “default” setting instead of the old negativity that has been obstructing your life's passageways. Every single person has been made in the image of a power greater than our own—therefore the knowledge attainable to us is far beyond what we could imagine. Power and wisdom are constantly flowing into our lives from people, places, events, history—we just have to look and listen for it. By considering the truths behind these we have the potential to live a life of ease. But in such a complicated world, that's easy to forget. Streams reminds us that the wisdom to live life to it's fullest is right there and ready for us to grab—we just have to do it. With thirty-one daily meditations, Streams offers readers everyday advice for dealing with life's negativity and creating a positive life and environment. Each meditation ends with a “Reminder from the Streams”—a little word of advice, a reminder of positivity, a bit of guidance for dealing with the day, letting us flow with the stream of life.

The fourth of nine children, Lynn Greenleaf grew up on a dairy farm near Sioux City, Iowa. Coming from such a large family laid the groundwork for Lynn to become a teacher. Lynn has enjoyed a rich teaching career that has spanned several decades and two continents having taught in Minnesota, Iowa and in Saudi Arabia to first year college students. But the most challenging and rewarding years came when she taught 7th, 9th and 10th grade public school kids in post-Katrina New Orleans. From 1981 - 1984 Lynn pursued a different career path and earn her law degree from the Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul Minnesota. While Lynn cultivated a 17 year career as an attorney, she eventually returned to teaching in 2005. It was her years as a teacher that she found her passion having an impact on people during important stages of their lives. Lynn is most grateful for those students who still keep in touch with her after all these years. Since 1996, Lynn has been a member and certified writing instructor for Journal to the Self, a community and online based program that teaches the healing benefits to journal writing. Shortly after joining Lynn found a deep appreciation for how words can heal, uplift and change a person’s life. It was during this time when Lynn knew she wanted to use her words to give others something to aspire to and finds purpose in using her writing skills to help her fellow members at New thought, 12 Step Spirituality and A Course in Miracles. Lynn also publishes a blog called The Reluctant Minnesotan, and is working on writing her memoirs Lynn currently lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, but her true home is in Tucson, Arizona where she has a complete community that she reconnects with during the winter months. When she isn’t writing you can find her at her spiritual center as the visualization facilitator, or spending time with her three year old grandson Wesley.
