Synopsis

Jim Witt has emigrated to Kraków in the south of Poland, from his native England. Even though he barely speaks a word of Polish and has spent his last penny moving, he's much happier there amidst the cultural and intellectual elite of the country. The trouble doesn't start in his Polish paradise until he takes a job at a small publishing company, where he loses his heart (and most of his grip on reality) to the unimposing and reclusive Aga Bard. In a battle of indifference unseen since the day before yesterday, Jim determines to win her hand - before he loses his mind... "Aga Bard Sent You a Message" is a modern tale of romance* and despair** set in the magnificent home of Poland's kings. Written from the point of view of the hapless and the hopeless, laugh along with our hero at his own foolishness, cry at his inability to make a relationship work, and finally close the book, safe in the knowledge that you could never be as stupid and naive as he was... * Flirting by Skype ** Getting drunk and acting the fool in public Note: This book contains mild swearing, foreign words and junk food. Do not get wet. Do not read after midnight. Consult a physician if pain persists. Beware of paper-cuts.
