Synopsis

This is a sequel to the first book, 'Apunika', by the same author, in which the heroine confronts the consequences of her actions in the first novel. In this traditional Science Fiction adventure story, the author presents the reader with another unusual scenario in which he explores the concept of torture, and again, a very convincing and provocative case is made for the actions of the characters. A few characters from the original book reappear in this sequel, but many more are created with the same attention to detail and witty dialog as before. Like the first book, the science is entirely plausible, but with an interesting twist. In the Stone Age environment, the characters are obliged to use their ingenuity and resourcefulness to solve problems, and sometimes resort to primitive or ancient technology, which the author cleverly integrates into the tale with thoroughly convincing detail.

À propos de l?auteur

J. Randolf Scott, a retired Chemical Engineer, and father of five children, lives in the heart of rural England with his youngest daughter. A prolific inventor and innovator, the author is also an artist and accomplished software programmer. In his own words, "As an artist I paint what I see, and in my books I paint in words what I see in my mind". During his career he has travelled to most countries in the world, and this is reflected in the scope and subject matter of his writing. His novels cover a wide range of genres, from thrillers, to period romance and science fiction, and he admits that background research often takes much longer than writing the novel itself. In most of his novels he takes a simple moral issue to extreme limits and provokes his characters, and the reader, into confronting the issue in unconventional ways.
