Synopsis

Accidents Happen. Andrew isn't capable of kidnapping anybody, let alone an alien. Sure, his home life may be a little topsy-turvy, but he's a normal kid starting his freshman year at a normal school, right? Well, not exactly. Hamilton High is anything but normal. For one thing, nobody uses the lockers. Any Hamilton student will tell you it's traditional—a matter of school pride—but that's because they don't know any better. Andrew finds himself thrust into a world where anything can lie behind that combination lock—namely, alien planets. At Hamilton, abductions just happen. Andrew needs to return the alien he kidnapped, and fast, before he makes things even worse than they already are. A mysterious upperclassman named Fran needs something too—otherwise, she wouldn’t be hanging around the lockers all the time. Andrew takes it upon himself to find out what she’s up to, but instead he finds himself entangled in her messy past. They travel from universe to universe, facing giant beetles, friendship, and fire. Andrew may have been hoping for a normal high school, but for him, there’s no going back.

Carver Center for Arts and Technology. Her literary hopes and dreams so far culminate in this book alone, though she aspires to write a few more sometime in the next seventy years.
