The classroom at the other end of the world is unsurprisingly shocked by their arrival—but after a little learning and a lot of chaos, Pedro and George head back home to their ordinary tasks of sorting toothpicks and repainting their bathrooms, satisfied that they’ve taught an important lesson. Or so they think!

Delphine Perret has a degree from the Decorative Arts School in Strasbourg. She is the author-illustrator of more than a dozen titles published at Éditions Thierry Magnier and l’Atelier du Poisson Soluble, which have been translated into several languages. She has illustrated many other titles at Le Seuil, Syros, and Bayard. Her work is often very minimalist. She explores subjects such as the relationship between text and images, words and their sounds, everyday life and the imagination we can instill into it.
