Everyone downloads apps for their phones or computers. Do they ever read the “Terms and Conditions?” Do they just check that they did, and agree to them? Is the “legalese” just too bothersome? After all, it’s just an app, right? A computer whiz and self-confessed “geek”, J.T., finds that the answer to that question is a perilous “No.” He explores the nature of an increasingly popular app, as his girlfriend, and many others, innocently fall into the diabolical trap it sets for the unsuspecting. J.T. engages in a technological battle of wits against a formidable and very experienced foe, an enemy he cannot bring himself to acknowledge.

"Terms and Conditions' is my first offering, and I hope you enjoy it! The idea for the story came from something that happened to me in a store---I was signing up for one of their "frequent buyer" cards, when the sales clerk told me that I have to agree to the terms and conditions on the computer, and I agreed to them without reading them. On the way out of the store, I started thinking "What did I just agree to?". My imagination went in to overdrive at the possibilities! My personal favorite authors are Tom Clancy, James Lee Burke and Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child. Since imitation is the highest form of flattery, I really hope that my readers see echoes of each of their styles in my work. I am currently working on a second novel, a spy thriller set in modern day Casablanca. It is completed and is in the editing process. A collection of short stories is also in the works! I retired after 35 years in social services, and now I enjoy writing, target shooting, playing guitar, time on my Harley and playing alongside the best grand-kid in the world. I also volunteer with Washington County (PA) Habitat for Humanity in a variety of capacities. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my work! Please let me know what you think!
