Synopsis

Written in 1926, this is an exact facsimile of the original book. This powerful little book was intended by its author, Dr. B. Harvie Branscomb, for use in both personal and group study. To be a “Christian” is to be Christ-like. But who was Christ the Messiah, the one we call JESUS, and what was he like? He taught us that The Way is to Love, but not without repentance and personal accountability, righteousness, and justice. Above all, his Message was to teach us how to draw closer to our Heavenly Father and His Divine Kingdom. Jesus came to lead ALL of the children of God Almighty out of spiritual darkness and into His great redeeming Light. The Message of Jesus was simple, and timely for each generation, but does your heart really know what it is?

À propos de l?auteur

One Great World War had just passed and the threat of another loomed ominously on the global horizon. It was in this atmosphere that Harvie Branscomb, the son of a Methodist minister, wrote his doctoral thesis. It was published in 1926 simply as “The Message of Jesus.” Doubtlessly concerned that new killing fields were already being cleared for battle, Harvie Branscomb urged Christians around the world to carefully consider the message of the Messiah who came first for the Jews, and then for the Gentiles. Rather than offer a discourse of his own opinions, he went directly to the words and actions of the Teacher himself. He entreats his brothers and sisters in Christ to not just ask the question “What would Jesus do?” but rather to ask, “What DID Jesus do, and what did he instruct us to do?” Born December 25, 1894 in Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. B. Harvie Branscomb went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 1998 at his home in Nashville, TN. He had spent 103 years on Earth.
