Helen Rose lives in rural Suffolk, on a smallholding, with her patient husband,
lively daughter, a shaggy dog and lots of Alpacas.

Helen teaches the A to Z of alpacas for her local agricultural college and writes
about alpacas for national magazines.

'Years ago I was mad about horses and kept two on our smallholding then I read
about alpacas. They are amazing, hardy, look gorgeous and even smell nice,
a bit like a wheat biscuit. They produce a luxury fibre and they are the easiest grazing
animal to keep.

My learning curve began when I started looking after my own animals and a new business
with Alpacas.'
