Synopsis
In the countryside of Calais, torn between English and French rule, a friendship is struck up between an overworked young priest and a brazen widower innkeeper. Calen has only been a priest five years, and already has three parishes to deal with. Acadia, widowed at sixteen, has no choice but to run her disgraced husband’s Inn for money to survive. When the pressures of the world become too much, Calen finds himself deep in his cups, relying on Acadia for the strength to carry on; literally. But what happens when the mood is right, the restraint is gone and all they have left is each other? Theirs is a romance that is doomed from the start, but the passion they shared one night is too fiery to ignore…

Jasmine Bowen is an accomplished actress living in the heart of Hollywood North. She has performed across the nation on stage, and internationally on television and film, working with Donald Trump, Joe Estevez, U2 and the Black Eyed Peas. She currently hosts ‘The Cache Metals Market Overview’ on AM640, a national station by Corus Entertainment. She has always been inspired in creating characters for audiences on paper, stage and film. Jasmine has published many short stories, and eBooks over the past few years, both online and in hard copy. She currently has a feature length novel on shelves ‘The Children will inherit the earth’, and book two of the series is due out in mid-2013.
