The author is an honors graduate of Harvard College and a graduate of Columbia University Law School. Prior to college, he was a resident of rural and small-town Arkansas. As a lawyer, he has spent most of his career as a banking and finance lawyer. He was also a managing director of investment banking at a very large New York investment bank. He later owned his own broker-dealer firm for about 10 years. He has two adult children, who live on their own.
