Prior to having children she was a senior school geography teacher; a beloved vocation, and a career she intends to return to when her kids are older. She has written a regular blog called A Mama With Ideas (www.mamawithideas.com) since 2011, showcasing a wide range of her craft projects, recipes, organisation and parenting ideas, plus a lot of commentary about the expat lifestyle. Maxine is originally from the south of England, but has lived in Houston, Texas since 2010.
