À propos de l?auteur

Energy entrepreneur, Silicon Valley headhunter, counselor for at-risk youth and combat helicopter pilot, Jim Rocca has been finding a way to win his whole life. His first book, Job Hunt Like A Predator: Building the Job Hunter of the Future, taps Jim’s business and recruiting experience to help readers turn the challenges of the job market into long-term career success. Jim was a highly paid headhunter and corporate recruiter in Silicon Valley, recruiting executives, software developers, professional services experts, marketing and public relations managers, among others. Jim worked with every department head throughout the organization, gaining an intimate familiarity with the internal operations of multinational, enterprise-class corporations. He went on to co-found a land acquisition company servicing the world’s three top wind farm developers, where he served as Vice-President. Jim rejoined the business world after taking a 3 year time-out to counsel at-risk high school students in career selection and the development of marketable skills. To help his students, Jim developed a career assessment evaluator and a comprehensive career matrix with an approach of pulling rather than pushing the student to the goal. The tool helped foster a self-motivational dynamic that proved effective in launching students into successful careers. As a U.S. Army helicopter pilot, Jim logged more than 1000 hours flying combat missions in Vietnam. Prior to receiving his B.A. at Maharishi University of Management in Iowa, Jim was part of a relay track team that set a national junior-college record. Jim is currently launching a series of hiring and career skills workshops based on Job Hunt Like A Predator, which he will deliver at colleges and universities around the country. Job Hunt Like A Predator is the first volume in Jim’s three-part Empowerment Series, designed to develop men and women to their full, professional and personal potential. Jim lives in Fairfield, Iowa with his graphic artist wife, Trish.
