Synopsis

When Miss Angie, a nurse recruit, arrives and learns the hospital routine, she meets handsome Dr. Goodwin and Miss Adeline, an experienced nurse, who takes Miss Angie under her wing. Nursing Superintendent, Sister Gwendolyn, keeps a watchful eye on her entire nursing staff. Together, through their creativity and combined efforts, the nurses and doctors of Ellis Island Hospital discover ways to help their patients follow their dreams. In the process, they achieve their own American Dreams.

À propos de l'auteur

Carole Lee Limata graduated from Queens College, New York in 1968. After taking her Nursing Boards that summer, she worked as a Registered Nurse at New York City’s Metropolitan Hospital, and then, at the City’s Premature Nursery Center at Elmhurst Hospital before moving to Northern California. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Sacramento State University, and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of California at San Francisco in 1980. She is a member of the Nurses Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International. Throughout her forty-year nursing career, Carole worked as a staff nurse, supervisor, maternity instructor and nursing director. In 2008, she retired from her final position as Supervisor of the Screening Programs at the Kaiser Permanente Genetics Department in Oakland, California. She is the author of two novels, Ellis Angels and Ellis Angels on the Move.
