Finally, Charles’s story finds a man working to overcome alcoholism and the great potato famine before immigrating to America to find work in the textile industry. Tom Gallen and his wife both have ancestral roots in County Donegal, Ireland. Born in Philadelphia, Gallen has spent much of his life in the part of suburban Philadelphia that was once known as Kellyville, one of the locales used in his novel, Donegal Generations. Donegal Generations is Tom's debut novel. He currently lives with his wife, Grace, in Treasure Island, Florida.
