Book 2 Changes in Organizational Paradigm, Structure, and Design includes chapters with the discussions on organizational paradigm, structure, and design in contemporary organizations. The book begins with a comparison of the three organizational paradigms: rational, natural, and open systems. An assessment is supported by analysis of paradigms as they exist in three high tech organizations in California. Following discussions analyze the key elements of the organizational structure and design in the organizations of the airline and automobile industries and present changes created upon an organizational needs and dilemmas. The discussions include solutions how to improve the situation in the global corporation, related to the managing of workforce diversity, with the focus on human resources. Several chapters of the book include discussions on the establishment of small business and demonstrate continual changes in paradigm, structure, and the design of the small business organizations according to time requirements, including the recession of 2008. Report about management functions is included in this book to show the wide responsibilities of an assistant principal of high school in California. Despite that function of managers in schools and in business organizations are somewhat different and varied according to the type of business, many responsibilities are similar. Most chapters of the books are accompanied by the Article Review related to the chapter topic. The book concludes with Discussion Questions accompanied by the authors starting responses and sections About the Authors.
