Each chapter is filled with personal thoughts, poems and family recipe so that the reader may better understand the author and the struggle to becoming an American. Biographie de l'auteur

About the Author Filomena Abys-Smith immigrated to the United States in October 1961 from Bagnoli, Naples, Italy, at the age of six. She attended Herbert H. Lehman College, earning a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer studies. She holds a New York State license in nutrition and worked for the New York City Board of Education for twenty-one years until starting Honey-Do Home Renovations with her husband; you can view their website. She currently holds a general contractor's license for New York City and Westchester County, where she lives with her husband, Peter, and their two children. Her two great passions are renovating homes into beautiful retreats and writing.
