I am a Cleveland, Ohio native but spent half my formative years in Wayne County, West Virginia. I have three lovely daughters, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Having retired in November 2011, I now am devoting time to two of my passions: reading and writing. I also love cooking, growing herbs, being involved in my church, and being with my family. I treasure the time I spent as a child going to my grandparents' farm. The lessons they taught are priceless. I want to savor life each and every day and thank God for all my blessings.

In each person's heart lies a time or place that has left an indelible mark in their mind or heart, a place where complete happiness lies and where a special person is waiting for them. Genoa Ridge is such a place. Here, as a child, my grandparents took me into their hearts and home for that special time each summer in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains on a large farm sitting on top of Genoa Ridge in Wayne County, West Virginia. It was a child's dream to go and experience all it had to offer.
