Dr. Tracy Andrus is the 12th child of Ms. Alice V. Andrus and the late Warren Lee Andrus Sr. of Crowley Louisiana. Dr. Andrus served three years in prison for felony theft by check kiting and was released in 1994. Dr. Andrus was admitted to Louisiana College in Pineville, La in 1995 and earned his Associate and Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Dr. Andrus earned his Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2001 and became the first African-American in the United States to earn his PhD from Prairie View A&M University in 2005. Dr. Andrus currently serves as Director of Criminal Justice at an HBCU in the state of Texas.
