Synopsis

The War Between the States was over... ...and for the son of a Confederate Colonel, the battle had just begun. Will Buck be able to adapt in the New South? Just barely 13, the only home he'd known was sold for pennies on the dollar, and they left the plantation in Mississippi to start a new life in East Texas. On the Plantation, Buck's best friend was a slave. Scouting and hunting was his favorite thing they did together, but now that life was done. How would he cope with being poor? Growing up was hard. As the nation worked at Reconstruction, Buck made some hard decisions. Not all of them were good and he made enemies along the way. When he met three women, his life changed forever. One befriended him, one betrayed him, and one loved him. You'll adore this Post-Civil War Historical fiction because Buck's journey is one of struggle, deception, and ultimately love. Get it now.
