CHANG KUO-LI is an award-winning novelist, historian, poet, and playwright. He has published more than thirty books over the course of his career, many of which have been adapted for film and television. He lives in Taiwan.

RODDY FLAGG is a freelance translator who resides in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has translated short stories by Diao Dou and Chen Chongzheng, among others. The Sniper is his first full-length translation.
