À propos de l'auteur

Biography of the Author Usha Rajan is a licensed Speech Pathologist with over 35 years of experience in treating children with speech and language impairment. She has extensive experience with child language acquisition and behavior modification. Usha holds a Master’s degree in speech and language pathology and a Doctorate in healthcare management. Her close work with school age children and their parents has kindled an interest for teaching children about safety and stranger awareness. She is also very involved in educating parents of third world countries about infant and child nutrition as well as prenatal care. Usha has fought to bring speech and language services for children in low income areas through fund raising efforts and developed the first group language acquisition program in the Michigan Mental Health system in the early seventies. This made it possible for mentally ill and developmentally disabled children living in state institutions to receive speech therapy services in spite of a restricted budget. She is currently the Executive Director of Academy for learning and growing which provides speech and language services to children with special needs. Proceeds from the sale of her books will be used to fund a non-profit corporation which educates single women with children to become financially secure and provide a stable and secure future for their children.
