Debi Scholar, President of Scholar Consulting Group (SCG), is a consultant, strategist, speaker, educator, and author. She authored Strategic Meetings Management (SMM): The Quick Reference Guide and co-authored The SMM Handbook. Before starting her own consultancy, Debi managed the PricewaterhouseCooper's (PwC) SMM Program, and held various Director-level positions at PwC as a T&E / Meetings Advisory Lead Consultant, Meetings and Group Travel Director, and Training and Development Director. Debi also led her own Training and Development firm. Debi was co-chair of the GBTA Groups & Meetings Committee, a GBTA Foundation Board member, an MCAF member, named one of the top 20 Changemakers in the Industry, and was named one of the "Mover and Shakers" in the Strategic Meetings Management Industry. Debi has the following designations: Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Wharton / Global Leadership Professional (GLP), Global Travel Professional (GTP), Corporate Travel Expert (CTE), Certificate in Meetings Management (CMM), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB), Certified Technical Trainer (CTT), and Certified BANK™ Sales Trainer (CBST). Susan N Losurdo, CMP, LES is a Global Meeting & Event Management Professional with over 15 years of extensive experience as both a Corporate Meeting Manager, Planner and a Hotel Supplier. As the Vice President at The Scholar Consulting Group (SCG), she oversees the Meeting & Event Operations arm of the Group by managing seamless events for clients. Susan understands and promotes the SMM philosophy. She uses this knowledge to analyze and compile client meeting data in order to provide organizations a better understanding of how SMMP can benefit them. In addition to the "Crisis Management Handbook," Susan has co-authored the "Meeting & Event Planning Playbook." She speaks and instructs at the university level on topics related to hospitality and event management. Prior to SCG, Susan worked as a Global Meeting & Event Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Meeting & Event Operations Manager at Cisco (through Experient), and at Hyatt Hotels in Sales, Catering, and Convention Services. She has her BA degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Susan holds the following professional designations: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Learning Environmental Specialist (LES)
