Gary Lee Roper, D.D., is a retired Baptist minister who served for 25 years as a pastor and spent 8 years in Christian education as the headmaster of C. H. Spurgeon Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, where he also taught systematic theology. He has been a guest lecturer at several secular colleges and universities, both in the US and abroad, and has preached at C. H. Spurgeon's Tabernacle in London, England. Religious columns by Dr. Roper have appeared in newspapers in a variety of states and British Crown Colonies. He has preached on every inhabited continent in the world and has worked with colporteurs in England and Scotland. In addition, he has worked with missionaries in more than twelve foreign fields. He remains active as a guest preacher, conference speaker, and spends the remainder of his time relaxing in his seaside cottage in Florida.
