À propos de l'auteur

Author and poet Connie Williams has over 40 years of dedicated church service in the Las Vegas area where she was born and raised. She attended the University Of Nevada Las Vegas where she pledged and is currently a devout member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and became the first black female sergeant for a local jail in the Las Vegas Valley. After serving as sergeant, Connie transitioned to the position of program counselor, in which she counseled inmates from all walks of life. Connie is now retired after serving over 20 years in corrections. Her combined years of service in corrections, church, public service, community and family experiences has inspired Connie to write her first but not last poetry book, in which she shares true accounts and life-long observations in witty poetry as jewels and gems for all to be inspired, encouraged, edified, and up-lifted in the trying times of today.
