When TWO WORLDS collide... When PREJUDICE and HATRED distort one's reality... In a game of LIFE and DEATH... Who will SURVIVE? Ten years after the occurrence of a World War Three, entire countries got wiped out and now there are only three more Muslim populated countries left: Jalawar, Malawar, and Kalawar. With the end of the third war, people are left immensely apprehensive and the fight for terrorism has become much more fierce. "Faceless" is the tale of a young American soldier who after accidentally being involved in a ploy created by the "Kill Team", a group of soldiers who get a thrill from killing civilians, finds himself a captive in the house of several vengeful Jalawan men and an interrogator who proves women are anything but weak in times of war. When 18-year-old American bred, Jalawan, Reema who is still struggling to move over her grief from losing her father and on a quest to seek redemption, meets ROTC student Ralph, who is struggling to prove himself to his father and avenge his sisters untimely death at the hands of the Wasari (the world's most nefarious terrorist organization)-- perception, reality, and misdirected hatred intermingle in the small, insurgent ruled village of Kendiha, Jalawar.

À propos de l?auteur

Aaisha is currently an incoming junior completing her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Louisville. Although she was born and raised in America, her cultural heritage can be traced to Pakistan. Growing up, Aaisha was amazed by the way countless news stories were told one way on American news channels and then a completely different way on Pakistani news channels. Her passion for social justice as well as her observations of the two contrasting perspectives depicted in the media was what first inspired her to write "Faceless". Before she actually started writing the novel; Aaisha started by doing a month of research on the past wars between the United States and developing countries. She then set up interviews with students or staff members that had any military experience at her University as well as Afghan and Iraqi men and women in her community. "Faceless" took her a year and a half to complete and she intends to take it a step further by creating an Interfaith Organization on her campus as well as giving talks about the importance of looking at things from more than one perspective.
