Dr. Clinton R. Lanier, owner of Word One Consulting holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from New Mexico State University (2006). His education focused on digital media and “Rhetoric” – the “art of finding every available means of persuasion” (Aristotle, Rhetoric). He has since taught at three universities in their Professional Communication disciplines (University of Memphis, New Mexico Tech and New Mexico State University), and has consulted for numerous private and public organizations of different size and industry. He has authored numerous studies and articles on using social media for small businesses, has written two books on the subject and been included in a number of edited collections. Dr. Lanier is currently a College-Assistant Professor at NMSU and owns Word One Consulting,a digital marketing consulting company in Las Cruces, NM that works with local and distant businesses and organizations to improve their digital-based marketing presence.
