I went to visit my dentist, and just out of a conversation, we started to talk about divorce. He had been through his already, and I was already getting started to set in motion my own divorce proceedings. In fact, I already had in mind at the time the right attorney and how much money I would need to get myself out of this mess. He told me about how he had spent so much money for his attorney's fees. He told me about how he had wasted money on one attorney and had to get another. The dollars he had spent was in the thousands. Right then, what went through my head was I didn't have the kind of money he did; and if he lost his battle in court, I knew I would lose mine as well. Right then and there, I realized that depending on the power of the dollar and an attorney wasn't the key. I had to take a different approach.
