Synopsis

When Elvis Presley's voice box is injured while filming the movie 'Jailhouse Rock', and then re-injuring it while taking a karate lesson, he begins to have trouble hitting and holding notes. When given the news by doctors that he might completely lose his ability to sing, Colonel Tom Parker must take drastic steps to save the Elvis Empire he has carefully structured. A 'counterfeit Elvis' must be found, and soon. The Colonel hires Private Investigator Sean Weigel to find the one man who might be able to fill Elvis's 'blue suede shoes'...Elvis's believed 'stillborn' twin brother...Jesse Garon Presley. After the shock of learning that his brother was not 'stillborn', Elvis is all for the project. What starts out as merely a search for the missing Jesse, however, soon turns into a series of homicides that leads the detective into a maze of intrigue and danger. This is the first book in a series of stories surrounding the 'Counterfeit Elvis'.
