Synopsis

When you read a book you are not confident in its contents unless you are sure that the author really knows what he is writing about. To give potential readers confident I will brag - just a little!I was managing director for some twenty-two years of a public property company with a quote on the London Stock Exchange, and before that for ten years a partner in a firm of surveyors and estate agents. I was a Chartered Surveyor. I bought and sold all types of property and negotiated at the highest level in one of the most exacting markets in the world. My record proves that I have the expertise to put this book before those who want guidance on salesmanship. I have been buying and selling all my workink life.My main purpose in writing this book was to provide a concise guide for busy persons who want to increase their ability to sell and, thus, take out all the terrifying thoughts that clog the mind and stop profitable action. My book will appeal to all salespersons seeking better sales figures and can`t find time to seek advice. It will be of constant use to a those who answer "yes" to the following three questions. (1) Do you want some short, sharp lessons so that you can IMMEDIATELY win in the marketplace?(2) Do you want success in selling without wading through an academic treaty which wastes valuable selling time?(3) Do you want realist lessons/tips so that you can exclaim "That`s just what I have been seeking - good sound commonsense"? IF YOU DO - then this book was written for you.Author - John Mepham

À propos de l'auteur

At fifteen years of age I started work with a firm of estate agents in Brighton (my home town) and soon became a junior negotiator. To increase my knowledge of the business I changed firms and became involved in land acquisition and property development. I sold a building site to a firm of London developers. They were obviously happy with my services. They were building in Bedfordshire and their estate agents were seeking a partner. They recommended me. I saw a good opportunity and I moved my family to Bedford. A public company, with a quote on the London Stock Exchange, that I had known and closely worked with in Brighton, became my best client in Bedford (I had introduced the company to Bedfordshire) - and, after circa ten years, they offered me the post of managing director. Always willing to grab an opportunity I accepted and my family moved back to Brighton. I remained managing director of that company for twenty-two years. I have no doublt that my extensive business experience, which was always closely related to buying and selling, gives me the expertise to confidently put this book before you.
